About the community
Hi, my name is Richard Turner and I created Game Haven. I am a qualified counsellor and run a private counselling practice providing cult recovery therapy and cult psychology consultancy services (here) and I work as a digital youth worker for a charity, running gaming communities for autistic children and young people. I also have a gaming channel on YouTube which I stream on three times a week.

Sadly, due to the shunning practices of most cults and isolation forced upon their members, people leaving these groups often feel very alone. I set up Game Haven to help people leaving and recovering from cult groups to connect with others and build a new network of friends.

About me
Game Haven is a FREE gaming community run on a Discord server specifically set up to help ex-cult members build community. Members can arrange gaming events or casually hang out with other gamers, and if you enjoy livestreaming or other forms of content creation, there is space to share your YouTube or Twitch channels.

Alongside channels to discuss gaming, there are channels to discuss other hobbies, your favourite TV shows and movies and any creative projects you have been working on.

There is also space to discuss your cult experience and share news stories and offload. However, we try to keep these separate from the other channels as the goal of this server is community and fun. Cult discussions are, of course, helpful, but not the primary goal of this community.

If you are not familiar with the Discord app, check out their website here.
